Rare antique (1800?s; warranty label handnumbered as 355) fruitwood Virgil Practice Clavier made as piano with fully-weighted keys for fingering skills practice ? by design, no tones were meant to be audible except lever-adjustable clicks. Directions/warranty labels intact; 50-key; C to C (7 octaves); 50?x20?x9?+24? legs which can fold up beneath the piano body for placement on furniture or table, if desired. Nice display and good for ?noiseless practice? by young and old. Fully functional. Known restoration issues: kind repair to leg-spacer mid-brace, reseating top cover hinges, and a few key plates re-glued. See pictures.
