Neuro-Behavioral Clinical Research has recently begun a research study of an investigational drug for Bipolar and Depression Disorder. We are looking for volunteers between the ages of 10 and 17, who are experiencing symptoms of depression.
Many of today's bipolar I medications for adolescents focus on relieving mania-related symptoms. However, treatment options are more limited when it comes to medication designed to help relieve symptoms of depression. In fact, there are currently no approved treatments for adolescents with depressive episodes due to bipolar I disorder.
The purpose of our research is to investigate whether the study drug is safe and effective for adolescents with depressive episodes due to bipolar 1 disorder.
